Restoration of a Caesar Maggiali, Carrara Itally 1952 viola

The top had been removed from previous repairs and glued on poorly causing a very high neck angle and tension throughout the instrument's structure.

repair of some slight rib damage while having the top plate removed.
The previous fingerboard was too short by 8mm and poorly fit to the neck and had to be removed and replaced with an appropriate length and properly planed fingerboard.
